The Snow Leopard
- The Snow Leopard is also called Unica unicia or Panthera unicia, and sometimes know as an Ounce
- They are smaller than most other big cats, and generally weigh anywhere between 60 and 120lb, and have a lengh that is anywhere from 30 to 50in.
- Snow Leopards' tails are flexable and help them to balance, and are thickly covered with fur. The leopards use their tails as a blanket over their faces when they sleep.


SOME NAMES FOR SNOW LEOPARDS:
- A baby or young leopard is calles a CUB
- A female is called a LEOPARDESS
- A male is called a LOEPARD
- And a group of leopards can be called a leap or lepe
SNOW LEOPARD ADAPTATIONS:
- Their bodies are stocky
- Their fur is also very thick
- And their ears are small and round which helps to stop heat loss
- Snow Leopards live in cold mountainous areas. Their adaptations help them to survive in this environment
